baroque
I will not be impressed with technology untill I can download food from internet. But for now, I think BAROQUE will do just fine. Research on Baroque was the wonderful experience for me and acquainted me with many unknown facts about baroque.
The baroque is a period of artistic style that used exaggerated motion and clear easily interpreted detail to produce drama tension. It began in 1600 in Rome,Itlay. The popularity and success of baroque style was encouraged by CATHOLIC CHURCH. The word baroque is derived from portuguese word 'barroco' which refers to "irregular pearl"
Fashion during the baroque era was so graceful. Fashion introduced had a greater impact on society,affecting not only royalty and aristocrats, but also middle and even lower classes.
For women,the wide,high waisted look of the previous period was gradually surpresseded by a long vertical line, with horizontal emphasis at the shoulder. Full loose sleeves ended just below the elbow at mid century and became longer and tighter in keeping with the new trend. The body was tightly corseted,with a low,broad neckline and dropped shoulder. In later decades,the overskirt was drawn back and pinned up to display the petticoat,which was heavily decorated.
For men clothing were replaced by a brief period of decorative exuberance which then sobered into the coat,waistcoat and breeches costume that would reign for the next century and half.
